Dr Anna Piper
Dr. Piper has practiced veterinary medicine in the South Indianapolis/Greenwood area for 23 years. Believing that animals are truly God’s blessing in our lives, her goal with Angel Animal Hospital was to create an environment that the pets, owners, and team members enjoy. Owning a pet has been proven to improve people’s lives and decrease stress. Helping owners to care for these furry family members is a passion for Dr. Piper. She and her husband live on the south side with their two dogs and enjoy many activities and interests like hiking, fishing, gardening, camping, supporting various community organizations, and are strong supporters of the Military, first responders, and the National Guard Association of Indiana.
Dr Maura Lehmann
Dr. Lehmann is a graduate of Purdue University and a new resident of the Indianapolis area. She joined the Angel staff in the fall of 2015 and is glad to be a part of a comprehensive medical team. Dr. Lehmann enjoys working with exotic and pocket pets in addition to cats and dogs. Her veterinary interests include feline medicine, radiology, oncology and senior care. When not at Angel, Dr. Lehmann enjoys spending time with her husband, gardening, tending to her pet tree frogs and teaching her cat “Steve” new tricks.
Dr. Adrienne Clark
Dr. Clark graduated from the Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013 and her particular interests are unusual medicine cases, behavior/fear-free methods, and surgery. She loves dogs but is definitely the “Cat Lady”! Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, she relocated to St. Louis, MO where she ultimately met her husband. She graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans then moved to Indiana. She greatly enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and 2 cats. In her spare time, she practices Ashtanga yoga, participates in various church activities, and watching Marvel movies. She is excited to be a member of Team Angel and helping the practice move forward and serve the community.
Maggie De Witte, Registered Veterinary Technician (R.V.T.)
Maggie grew up in the South Indianapolis area. After Graduating from Franklin Central High School she attended Purdue University and Graduated with honors in May of 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. She was awarded the Highest Academic Achievement in 2013 and Outstanding Veterinary Technologist Award in 2014. Her special area of interest is Physical Rehabilitation and is developing a Physical Therapy Program at Angel Animal Hospital. She has already improved the lives of several pets with her knowledge and hands-on approach. Her free time is spent training with her Australian Shepherd “Ryder”, Dancing, Camping, Hiking and hanging out with friends and family.
Miranda Johnson, Registered Veterinary Technician (R.V.T.)
Miranda is a 2011 graduate of International Business College and especially enjoys surgical nursing and dentistry. She lives on the south side of Indianapolis with her cats and rats.
Korri Rutar, Registered Veterinary Technician (R.V.T.)
Korri graduated in 2008 from the International Business College with an associates degree in Veterinary Technology. She lives with her husband and four cats, and in her spare time, enjoys running and reading.
Sarah Chrispell, Registered Veterinary Technician (R.V.T.)
Sarah is a 2012 graduate of Plainfield High School and completed her Veterinary Technology degree at International Business College in 2014. She has a strong heart for pet welfare and excels in surgical nursing and client education. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her sweet Cairn Terrier “Millie”, hiking, camping, golfing and running. She finished her first Indy 500 Mini Marathon in 2016 and is looking forward to next year’s race.
Autumn Norton, Registered Veterinary Technician (R.V.T.)
Autumn started working at Angel during her Veterinary Technology studies at the Indiana Business College. She completed her externship here, graduated from The Veterinary Technology Institute in September 2015 and received her license in 2016 to be a Registered Veterinary Technician in the State of Indiana. A native South-sider, she shares her apartment with her husband, three crazy cats and is currently raising her first child. In her spare time, she loves to read, crochet and watch Disney movies. Quote a line from a movie, especially a Disney movie, and she can name the character, movie and scene!
Alyssa Rogers, Registered Veterinary Technician (R.V.T.)
Alyssa completed her Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology at the International Business College’s Veterinary Technology Institute and obtained her certification to be a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2017. She loves helping owners with improving their pet’s lives and excels in client and patient care. Her personal time is spent enjoying her son, Julian and dog, Donald, watching football and movies.
Danielle is currently attending Harrison College to become a Registered Veterinarian Technician. As an assistant at Angel Animal Hospital, her duties consist of helping the technicians and the doctors, taking care of the pets in the kennel and cat condos, and cleaning everything. She loves learning new things and is preparing for her externship. Dani Everyone is very helpful and are all awesome teachers. I love working at Angel Animal Hospital!
Scheryl is a Georgia country girl who grew up and married her third-grade sweetheart and relocated to Indiana. While trained in Industrial Sales, Customer Service and Accounting, she is fulfilling her life-long dream of working in an animal hospital. She loves assisting with the patients and the large amount of vegetation that helps make the hospital a relaxing environment. She enjoys riding her motorcycle and four-wheeler, as well as boating and golfing. Her cats, Vester and Dobie Gray, turned ten in 2016 on her birthday.
Dalton is a Junior at Purdue University studying Animal Sciences-Preveterinary Medicine. He is a brother of Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity and is the current Service Chairman. He also serves as a Team Supervisor for Purdue’s new student orientation program called Boiler Gold Rush. In his free time he enjoys hanging out with friends and raising money for Riley Hospital for Children through Purdue University Dance Marathon. In the future, he hopes to attend Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine to become a Veterinarian.
Tina Moore,B.S. Office Manager
Tina grew up helping out on her grandparents’ farm and has continued to love animals. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Business Finance from Indiana University at IUPUI and has 1 dog, 1 cat and 2 children. Her daughter is finishing her nursing degree and her son is a veterinarian working towards a specialty in ophthalmology. In her free time she enjoys gardening, cooking, reading, and following her husband’s band “Tastes Like Chicken” around the country.
Atoka has worked in the veterinary field for the past 14 years, bringing a deep knowledge base and sense of service to Angel Animal Hospital. Having grown up in Brownsburg, she moved to Indianapolis’ south side about 5 years ago. When she is working, she enjoys spending time with her 2 cats, 2 sons, Jayden and Ryan, visiting parks, reading and crocheting.
John graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Business degree in Accounting and has extensive experience owning and running restaurants and Veterinary Hospitals for more than 25 years. He is the brainchild and Business Manager behind the innovative and beautiful Angel Animal Hospital. As a member of the business community in Indiana for over two decades, he is recognized as a leading advocate for the support of locally owned businesses and charities. For over 20 years, before it was a popular trend, he has urged local communities to support Hoosier owned companies, understanding that buying from firms owned, managed and operated by out of state corporations instead of the available Hoosier owned companies means sending local money out of state.
He is a true Patriot and avid student of American History with a passion for studying the founding fathers and the American Civil War. He and his wife enjoy touring battlefields, visiting museums and other historical venues important in the history and founding of the United States of America. John is a passionate student and observer of the political scene and has a renewed interest in serving the people of his community. He is preparing to put his personal life on hold to pursue political office reminiscent of our founding fathers.
